Come to the Los Peñasquitos Canyon Reserve with San Diego County park rangers on Saturday, 1/4/25!

We’ll be planting acorns to cultivate an oak-savannah habitat, as well as fixing trail fences and other upkeep activities

Sustainable Stewardship: Invasive Plants & Food Security Workshop

Come to City Heights/Weingart Library with Project ARISE & SFSC on Sunday, September 15th for an invasive plants/food security workshop!

Our workshop will be an introduction to invasive species and an opportunity for young aspiring environmental activists to understand the food justice movement, native species protection, and how young people can help solve these problems.

Cara Way — Creek Clean-up

Come to the Cara Way creek with San Diego County park ranger Megan Delaney on Saturday, 2/3!

There is a ton of large furniture that has washed down the creek along with some small debris, so this may take some problem solving, creative solutions, and lots of teamwork to clean it all up.

We are working with another city agency to restrict vehicle access on the bridge that will hopefully reduce the illegal dumping so we can move on to habitat restoration soon.
